Where does your drinking water come from?                                                         The machines are all connected to an approved inspected public water supply, such as city water. Kodiak Springs Premium Drinking Water is then produced by a 5-stage purification process right in the water vending machine:

  • 5-micron sediment filtration-removed dirt, sediment, and particles
  • activated carbon-removes taste, odors, chlorine and chlorine by-products
  • reverse osmosis--removes everything else!--leaves just a touch of minerals  and all of the oxygen for a fresh, spring-like taste!
  • 0.5 micron carbon block filtration--polishes the taste
  • ultraviolet disinfection--guarantees safe water into your clean container

The water is purified and stored in a sealed and disinfected tank, and pumped directly into your clean container, passing through ultraviolet light on the way.                                                        (TOP)

How pure is the drinking water?                                                                           The 5-stage purification process using reverse osmosis produces a high-quality water, similar to such bottled products as Aquafina®                                                                                           (TOP)

How much does it cost?                                                                                                               The cost per gallon at most locations is $0.25; at those locations that chrage $0.35 per gallon, you can get the $0.25 per gallon price by purchasing 5-gallon quantities. All machines give change; some have dollar bill acceptors.                                                                     (TOP)
